Our Packaging Makes it Perfect!

One will never say that the packaging is more important than its content, but luxury packaging does make the recipient feel great and it's fun!  Our packaging was designed thinking of you, our customer.  We want you to know how very important you are to us, and we want you to experience how special your item is from the moment you receive it.  

Every item you purchase will arrive in a 10" x 10" dark green box of textured snake skin paper.  The box has a fold over magnetic closure and no writing on the outside.  One single black satin ribbon will encircle the box with a gold wax seal with our logo on it (an origami frog since TAATAAI is a word for frog).  When you open the box, our company name is embossed in gold on the inside and each item will be in a velvet black bag with TAATAAI embroidered in green on the bag.  ENJOY YOUR PURCHASE!  You mean so much to us!

Labor Day has passed and in New York, wearing black is back. Instinctively, we all know wearing black works. You feel good, timeless, put together. Those great black pieces in your wardrobe come out year after year, looking forever chic. Black power suit, black pencil skirt, black leather jacket, black turtle neck, your "little black dress” and if you are lucky, that great Chanel black jacket. London’s "The Independent” reported two weeks ago that a study has come out supporting the power of wearing black. The study surveyed 1,000 persons and found that people were perceived as more confident when wearing black. Also, more intelligent, more attractive. Interesting data. Florals for Fall

"Florals? For spring? Ground breaking." So says Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep in the 2006 movie "The Devil Wears Prada".

Well how about florals for fall?  More interesting.  Flowers are everywhere in the fall/winter palettes for 2015/2016.   In fabric prints, embroidered on sweaters, skirts, and coats, and even embossed on leather boots.  See Adam Lippes black pantsuit in a botanical flower print, Valentino's black boots with small bright colored flowers all over it as well as his coats and jackets with embroidered flowers.  Then there are Prada's flower pins, and Gucci has its traditional patterned leather handbag with large flowers printed on it, along with flower print fabrics.  Flowers are also popular for resort 2016.  And I guess we will soon see what spring 2016 holds for us when the fashion week cycle begins in New York in September.  

The point is, flowers for fall.  Simple black long sleeve sweater dress or turtleneck, make it pop with a flower choker, necklace, or earrings.  Yes, flowers for fall.

Today I was looking through my copy of Karl Lagerfeld’s and Carine Roitfeld’s expanded new edition of “THE LITTLE BLACK JACKET” and my heart leapt.  Yes, really!  It leapt because it was inspiring and beautiful.  The photography is beautiful.  Page after page the same black tweed Chanel jacket is worn by women and men of different ages and walks of life and each person looks so very different with a style that is their own.  Inspiring and fun, the book energizes us to see style, something difficult to describe but we know it when we see it.  What shines through with style are these beautiful, confident people of every age.  

I am taken with how the accessories change one’s look and vibe, bold or subtle choices that allow the wearer to express great individuality on a very tangible plane.  Browsing through the book made me think of how the use of accessories can make your look complete and unique.  A favorite is the look of two bold cuffs, one on each wrist.  It can be all the decoration you need to make that basic black dress, with or without a jacket, look styled.  Or to make a t-shirt and jeans look your own (and finished).  Add a great bag, grab a hat and you look fabulous.
